Adding Fund Requestors

Article summary

Fund requestors must be added to the fund record in Grant Edge Classic (GE Classic) in order to establish a relationship between fund and constituent. If the constituent is a Web User (has an account to access Spectrum NXT), this relationship allows the constituent to see details of the associated fund in Spectrum NXT.

To Add Requestors to a Fund:

  1. Ensure the constituent that is a fund advisor has the appropriate constituent code(s) that identifies them for this role. Constituent codes are predetermined by the foundation and set in Business Rules, some examples include Fund Advisor or Donor, etc. GE Classic uses these codes to pull the constituent record from Raiser's Edge (RE).
  2. Once the fund advisor/donor has been synced to GE Classic, usually during the nightly data sync or on-demand, then it is available to apply to the fund record in GE Classic.
  3. Open the fund record in GE Classic and navigate to the Requestors tab.

4. Select Add Advisor, in the new window, type in the Name field with the constituent name and click Find. If the constituent has not been synced into GE Classic, use the RE Search button to search for the record and bring it into GE.

5. Select Open

6. Using the drop-down list, assign a requestor type to the newly added constituent.

7. Save and Close.
