Proposal information for the organization is configured in the Settings > System > Business Rules > Proposals tab.
Proposal Types
Custom proposal types and their associated default fields are configured in the Proposal Types section.
Existing proposal types are displayed in the list.
To add a new proposal type, click the + button in the top left corner of the Proposal Types section.
To edit an existing proposal type, click the Open button to the left of the proposal type.
Proposal Type Details
When a proposal type is added or edited, the Proposal Type Details screen displays.
Code - The code consists of up to four alpha characters and is associated with a specific proposal type. In the image above, 'CONF' is the code.
Type name - The name used for the proposal type.
Workflow Template - The workflow template to associate with the proposal type.
Profile Page - The value selected here determines which page of Custom Fields is opened, by default, for the specific proposal type.
Manager - A manager default can be assigned to the grant type by selecting their name from the dropdown list.
Active - When filled, this checkbox indicates the proposal type is active and available for use.
Program Expenses
Expense items that appear on the Financial Details tile of proposal records are configured in the Program Expenses section.
Project Cost Items
Existing project cost categories are displayed in the list.
To add a new project cost item, click the + button in the top left corner of the Project Cost Items section.
To edit an existing project cost item, click the Open button to the left of the item.
Organization Finances
Existing organization finance categories are displayed in the list.
To add a new organization finance item, click the + button in the top left corner of the Organization Finances section.
To edit an existing organization finance item, click the Open button to the left of the item.
Other
The checkbox for Inherit Characteristics from Fund(s), when filled, causes a new proposal record to inherit (copy) the characteristics from the fund record associated with the proposal.
The checkbox for Inherit Characteristics from Recipient, when filled, causes a new proposal record to inherit (copy) the characteristics from the recipient's constituent record.
