Roles and Permissions
This tab displays the system default roles that can be assigned to users and the permissions for each of those roles.
Roles
The following system default Roles are provided with the Fund Investment Tool with pre-defined permissions. Click on the role to see the permissions that are pre-set:
- Calculator
- Power User
- Rebalancing User
- System Administrator
- View Only
Notes:
- If you create a new role rather than using the system default roles, you will not be able to add permissions to the new role. This is an issue that will be addressed in a future release.
- You cannot edit permissions on system default roles.
Permissions
- Admin Menu: This permission grants the ability to see the Admin Menu in Control Panel
- Administer Fee Settings: This permission grants the ability to edit Admin fee settings in Control Panel\Config\Fee Schedule
- Administer Funds: This permission grants the ability to edit Fund records in Control Panel\Config\Funds
- Administer Income Allocation Settings: This permission grants the ability to edit income allocation settings in Control Panel\Config\Income Allocation
- Administer Pools: This permission grants the ability to edit Pool records in Control Panel\Config\Pools
- Administer Rebalancing Settings: This permission grants the ability to edit rebalancing settings in Control Panel\Config\Rebalancing
- Administer Spending Policy Settings: This permission grants the ability to edit spending policy settings in Control Panel\Config\Spending Policy
- Administer Users: This permission grants the ability to edit user records in Control Panel\Admin\Users
- Calculate Fees: This permission grants the ability to be able to calculate admin fee batches.
- Calculate Income Allocation: This permission grants the ability to be able to calculate income allocation batches.
- Calculate Rebalancing: This permission grants the ability to be able to calculate rebalancing batches.
- Calculate Spending Policies: This permission grants the ability to be able to calculate spending policy batches.
- Config Menu: This permission grants the ability to see the Config Menu in Control Panel.
- Delete Fee Batch: This permission grants the ability to delete fee batches in the Admin Fees tab.
- Delete Income Allocation Batch: This permission grants the ability to delete income allocation batches in the Income Allocation tab.
- Delete Rebalancing Batch: This permission grants the ability to delete rebalancing batches in the Rebalancing tab.
- Delete Spending Policy Batch: This permission grants the ability to delete spending policy batches in the spending policy tab.
- Global Settings: This permission grants the ability to edit settings in Control Panel\Config\Global Settings. It is typically only used by NPact staff members.
- Process Fee Journal Entries: This permission grants the ability to send journal entries to the finance system and mark journal entries as posted on the journal entries tab of an admin fee batch.
- Process Income Allocation Journal Entries: This permission grants the ability to send journal entries to the finance system and mark journal entries as posted on the journal entries tab of an a income allocation batch.
- Process Rebalancing Journal Entries: This permission grants the ability to send journal entries to the finance system and mark journal entries as posted on the journal entries tab of rebalancing batch.
- Process Spending Policy Journal Entries: This permission grants the ability to send journal entries to the finance system and mark journal entries as posted on the journal entries tab of spending policy batch.
- Sync Functions: This permission grants the ability to perform sync functions in Control Panel\Admin\Sync
