Article summary

For troubleshooting sometimes it is necessary to login to Foundation Cloud Community Portal as a constituent to view what the portal user is seeing. Other instances this might be useful for is checking to make sure proper funds are showing for a donor, or ensuring their login works. To do this, it is best to use the system to set a temporary password to their account. Then, using that temporary password and account email, login as that constituent. After this process, provide the portal user with that temporary password to login to Foundation Cloud Community Portal, they will be prompted immediately to set their own unique password thereby overriding the temporary password.

Set a Temporary Password:

  1. Login to Foundation Cloud Grants (FC Grants)

  2. Use the global search to search for the constituent or go to Grants > Constituents > “Find in this list”

  3. Open the constituent record > scroll down to the Web User tile

  4. Click the Edit icon

  5. In the new modal, click Generate Temporary Password

  6. Copy the password and paste it somewhere you have access to. This will be the only time you can see the temporary password without setting another one.

  7. Save the small window

  8. Use the email from the Web User tab and the temporary password just generated to access the portal user's account in Spectrum NXT.

To see this process in Foundation Cloud Community Portal please see Unlocking a Web User Account or Setting a Temporary Password
