Why is SyncHarmony not creating FE Vendor records when creating a Constituent from an Online Grant Request?
When creating a new Constituent, via editing an Online Grant Request and clicking the “Create Constituent” button, you may notice that SyncHarmony fails to create an FE Vendor record after the CRM and FCG Constituents have been created.
Steps To Duplicate:
Click Grants > Online Grant Requests
Search for and open the desired Online Grant Request
Click Edit
Under the Recipient box, click “Create Constituent”
Click Yes
After Constituent is created and the next SyncHarmony process runs, issue occurs
Answer:
There are currently two methods of creating CRM Constituents via FCG in an Online Grant Request:
1. When editing the Online Grant Request, click the “Create Constituent” button
2. When editing the Online Grant Request, click the “Select a Recipient” field (if a Recipient’s name is already filled in, click their name instead). From here, click the “Create New RE NXT Constituent” button.
These two buttons perform different actions which both result in record creation within your linked CRM system. The “Create New RE NXT Constituent” button follows through with SyncHarmony and create FE Vendor records, whereas the “Create Constituent” button does not. It is advised to always use the “Create New RE NXT Constituent” button to ensure that SyncHarmony’s process completes as intended.
Optionally, you can also create the CRM Constituent directly within the CRM software first. Once this is done, you can then move forward with linking the existing Constituent on the Grant Request.
