Article summary

When going to Profiles\File Maintenance\Profile Code Maintenance\Affiliation and marking the desired affiliation codes temporary and then going to File Maintenance\Delete Temporary Affiliation Codes, the affiliation codes do initially disappear on the profiles, but they subsequently return on the profiles as shown by the numbers on the Profile Affiliation Analysis Report and by going back and checking the profiles that were previously affected.

Steps To Duplicate:

1. Run the Profile Affiliation Analysis Report located in Profiles\Reports\Profile Affiliation Analysis
 2. Note the high number of profiles that are associated with each affiliation code.
 3. Go to Reports\Profiles by Affiliation and run for one of the Affiliation codes in question from the Profile Affiliation Analysis report
 4. Upon checking the profiles, note that they are a mixture of inactive and active profiles
 5. Run the Profiles\File Maintenance\Profile Code Maintenance\Affiliation and marking the desired affiliation codes temporary
 6. Run the File Maintenance\Delete Temporary Affiliation Codes
 7. Note that the affiliations are no longer on the profiles at that time
 8. Re-run the  Profile Affiliation Analysis Report and note that now the numbers have returned to a lower or 0 number which is correct after deleting the codes from the profiles
 8. At a later time, go back and re-run the reports listed in steps 1 and 3 and now see that the numbers are back up to a high number and see that the temporary codes are now back on the profiles upon reviewing them
