I just combined two profile records. It seemed to go well, but now when I look for the Gift History for my existing profile it has the old name on it, the wrong one! How do I fix this?

Answer:

Fear not! There's a tool to fix the sort name value.

Go to Tools > System Utilities > Admin Utilities > Profile Utilities > Rebuild Alpha Sort Field.
Enter the Profile ID you are working on in both the From and the To fields and click OK.
A Report will pop up listing the tables where it has been updated.
