Article summary

If an advisor saves a suggestion and comes back later to submit, the suggestion cannot be submitted. Clicking the submit button does nothing. Instead, an entirely new suggestion has to be created and submitted at the same time that it is created rather than saving for later.

Answer:

It appears that if a suggestion is created with a new charity and then saved, when you try to submit it after its saved the recommendation form is using Auto Fill from the browser settings to fill in the state. The work around for that is to re-select the state from the drop down or turn off auto-fill in the browser before attempting to submit.

This issue can also occur with saved suggestions using a prior recipient. To work around this issue, re-select the prior recipient from the drop-down menu and submit.

This issue can additionally occur if you select a group of recommendations under Unsubmitted Recommendations on the Home page and then click submit. If one of the suggestions has an error, then this will cause none of them to be submitted since a group is selected. To work around that, actually click into each suggestion and submit one at a time so that the suggestions that do not have errors can be submitted.

Steps To Duplicate

1. Log into DonorCentral
2. Create a suggestion
3. Save the suggestion for later
4. Go to unsubmitted recommendations and attempt to submit the recommendation
5. Note that you are unable to submit the recommendation
