Check for an Existing Grantee Record
Before you create a new Grantee record, check the Grantee Data Grid to see if the record already exists The data grid will scroll down as you enter each character. Scan the lookup list of Grantees for the agency in question.
Even if the Grantee is not on the list, there is still a possibility that a Profile record without a Grantee exists (in which case the name would not show up on the Grantee Data Grid). To check this possibility, select Inquiries > Profile Text Search.
If you cannot find it, the new Grantee is not in the database. Click the New Profile button to add the name and address record.
