Copy FIMS Notes into Word
FIMS Notes are text fields that you can use to enter information about Profiles, Funds, or Grant and Scholarship applications.
Note: You can also do the reverse of this process and copy text from a Word document into FIMS Notes. Refer to Copying Text from Word into FIMS Notes for more information.
1. Open the FIMS Notes field that you want to copy.
2. Do one of the following:
- If you want to copy only a portion of the text, place your cursor at the beginning of the text you want to copy and then hold the left mouse button down and drag to the end of the text you want to copy.
- If you want to copy all of the text in the note field, right-click in the field and select Select All from the menu.
3. Select Edit > Copy.
4. Open a Microsoft Word document.
5. In Word, either select Edit > Paste, or click the Paste button (looks like a clipboard) on the toolbar. All of the text you selected is added to the Word document.
