Copy Text from Word into FIMS Notes

Because FIMS notes are open text fields, you can copy text from MS Word, or another application into a FIMS notepad. This can helpful if, for example, you have a Word document associated with a Grant application that you want to include in the application record.

1. Open the Word document that you want to copy.

2. Select the text that you want to copy and then either click the Copy button on the toolbar (looks like two pieces of paper) or select Edit > Copy.

3. Open the FIMS notepad where you want to paste the text.

4. Right-click in the Note field and select Paste from the menu.
