Creating a New Grantee Record (Scholarships)

The Grantee in Scholarships is usually an institution, although the Student can also be the Grantee. The Grantee record has a one-to-one relationship with the Profile record.

NOTE: This procedure provides only the basic steps for creating a simple Grantee record. Refer to the Grantees Tab for more information on the fields that are available for Grantees.

  1. In the Scholarship Management module, click the Grantees supertab.
  2. Verify that the Grantee record does not already exist by searching for the record in the Grantees Data Grid.
  3. Click the Grantees tab, and then click the New button on the far left-hand side of the toolbar.
  4. Enter the ID Code of the Profile you want to create a Grantee record for.
  5. If you are not sure of the ID code, click the Lookup button (looks like a magnifying glass) next to this field to select the desired Profile from a Data Grid.

NOTE: This is the only field that FIMS requires to save the Grantee record. However, your organization may require certain fields, and you should fill in as many of the other fields as possible, to help automate the application process, and to make your reports more useful.

  1. When you are finished, click the Save button on the toolbar.
