Donor Letters Report
This report generates an addressed letter containing a Donor’s giving history for a selected time period. It is designed to create a calendar year-end letter to assist Donors with tax preparation.
NOTE: The letter text that you enter when you generate these letters is not stored for repeated use, but you can store the text in a word processing document and copy it into the text editing fields at run time.
NOTE: You can access this report from anywhere in FIMS by selecting Reports > Gifts > Donor Reports > Donor Letters.

Running the Donor Letters Report
- In the Donor and Gift Management module, select Reports > Donor Reports > Donor Letters. The Donor Letters window opens.
Donor Letters Window - Enter the date range that you want to include in the report.
- Enter the minimum Gift Amount that you want to include on the report. Any Donor who has given less than the selected amount will be excluded from the report.
- Enter the Date to print at top of letter.
- In the Letter Text Entry section, enter the body of the letter. The text you enter in the top section will appear one line below the salutation. The text you enter in the bottom section will appear one line below the Donor’s Gift History.
- Click OK.
- Configure the desired Selection and Sorting criteria as you would for any standard FIMS report and then click the Run Report button.
