When I attempt to connect to the FIMS ODBC data source in Excel, I receive an Access denied (Authorization failed) message:
Answer:
This error is a permissions issue, the user you are using for the ODBC connection does not have the necessary rights. This can be caused by the username not having a password. Be sure that the FIMS username being used has a password.
You may find that Excel will not prompt for a username and password after the first time, so, if you want to change the username for the ODBC you are not able to due to Excel caching th e old username.
