Article summary

When we open the A/P module and click on the 'Payments' tab, we get the error: ** Value 1000000000 cannot be displayed using >>>>>>>>9 (74)

I click OK, but every time me or another user clicks on the payment tab, we get the error.

Steps To Duplicate:
  1. Open FIMS
  2. Open A/P Module
  3. Click on "Payments" tab
  4. Error appears.
  5. Click OK and am able to use the module.
Answer:
FIMS only has the ability to display check numbers up to 9 digits. The error is letting the user know that it cannot display check numbers 10000000000 and above.

Look through your "Payments" and search for a check with check number ????????. This check's number is too high.

To fix this, right click on the check with "?????" and change the check number to something lower.  The error should then no longer appear.
