FIMS Crashes when Posting Large Amounts of GL Entries

After importing a large amount of journal entries and then proceeding to posting, when posting the large amounts of GL entries, FIMS crashes. In NPO\found\tempfiles, in the GL edit report, the error Lock Table Overflow, Increase -L on server is displayed.

Answer:

1. Increase the value for lock table entries per this article:

2. After the import process is complete, log out of FIMS and be sure closed. Then, log back into FIMS and post GL entries.
