When following the correct steps to print checks in FIMS, user receives the following French error: 'error L’imprimante n’imprime pas actuellement' and the checks do not print.
Steps To Duplicate:
- Navigate to Accounts Payable
- Open Items
- Print Checks
- Run Processes
- Enters Selections for Check Printing
- Selects Okay
- Selects Print or Checks Preview and then error occurs.

This is a computer and printer issue. Follow the steps below to resolve:
Note: This issue can also be caused if the printer in question is using PCL drivers. Installing a second driver, a UFR driver can potentially solve the issue.
- Exit FIMS
- Make sure there is a default printer selected for the computer
- Open another program like Notepad
- Verify that you can print to that printer from that program
- Go into FIMS and try it again
