Grantee and Grant Management Toolbar

The Grantee and Grant Management toolbar includes five buttons that are specific to working with Grantees and Grants:

Button

Function

Tax Status Organizational Lookup

Opens the Tax Status Lookup form used to locate tax exempt organizations that are not currently in your FIMS database.

Grant/Grantee Folder

Opens a Windows folder where you can store additional information about Grantees or Grant Applications, including word processing documents, faxes, scanned documents, and images. The folder is automatically created on your system the first time you click the Grant/Grantee Folder button.

Note: Do not create the Grant and Grantee folders on your own through Windows. Let FIMS create and name them when you click the Grant/Grantee Folder button.

Note: The Grant Folder is a subdirectory within the Grantee’s Profile Folder.

If you click the button while the Grantees super tab is selected, the Grantee’s Profile Folder opens. If you click the button while the Applications or Application History super tab is selected, the Grant Folder opens, where you can store information about the specific Application.

Note: Clicking this button while the Conditions tab is selected has no effect.

New Application

Opens a new, blank Grant Application. Unlike the New button on the far left-hand side of the toolbar, this button is not context sensitive, and will open a new Application regardless of which kind of record is being viewed.

Tip: You can also open a new Application by pressing Alt+Ctrl+A on your keyboard.


Application Defaults

Opens the Grant Application Entry Values window, where you can set default values for key data fields () that will automatically be entered to all new Applications until the defaults are reset or the session is closed.

Tip: You can also open the Grant Application Entry Values window by pressing Alt+Ctrl+D on your keyboard.

Import Grants

Allows you to import Grant Suggestions from DonorCentral.

Note: This button is only available if you subscribe to DonorCentral. Please contact FIMS Support for more information about DonorCentral.

New Grantee

Opens a new, blank Grantee record. The new Grantee page must be linked to an existing Profile record. Unlike the New button on the extreme left of the toolbar, this button is not context sensitive, and will open a new Grantee record regardless of which kind of record is being viewed.

Tip: You can also open a new Grantee record by pressing Alt+Ctrl+G on your keyboard.

New Profile

Opens a new blank Profile record for editing. Unlike the New button on the extreme left of the toolbar, this button is not context sensitive, and will open a new Profile regardless of which kind of record is being viewed. When the new Profile is saved, a new Grantee record for the Profile will be automatically open.
