The excel Proper function capitalizes the first letter in a text string and any other letters in text that follow any character other than a letter. It converts all other letters to lowercase letters.
Answer:
If you can get the data into excel you can use the "PROPER" function to change the data to first letter uppercase, all others lower. If using this function on names, be aware that MCNEIL will change to Mcneil, not McNeil. To use the function, the easiest thing to do is put your mouse in the cell where you want the corrected data and type the following: =PROPER(H14) where H14 is the cell where the all caps data resides.
