A pool can be excluded from asset rebalancing by changing a setting on the pool record in the FACTS module.
Answer:
If you need to exclude an investment pool from the asset rebalancing process you can do this by:
Note, the pool should not be included with a non zero percentage on any fund record targets since the remaining pools will not total 100% and you will get an error.
This option is primarily used to ensure that the money is not swept out of the pool because it has a 0% Target percentage, but has assets. This is frequently used with Money held in Trusts or separate asset accounts. Recently, money market accounts holding spending policy dollars have been set up this way.
- Open FACTS
- Navigate to the pool tab
- Find the pool that needs to be excluded and open the Pool record.
- Click on the exclude from asset rebalancing option.
