I have a new advisor I need to grant access to DonorCentral, how can I do that?
How would I remove access to DonorCentral for an advisor?
Answer:
In order for a Donor to have access to a Fund in DonorCentral, the advisor must have a Fund Association code linking them to the Fund.
Create Fund Associations (Funds)
There also has to be a unique email address on the Profile 1 tab of the advisor's profile and cannot be the same email as another profile.
To give an advisor access to DonorCentral:
You can create Fund Associations from either the Profile Management or Fund Management module in FIMS. This procedure takes you through the process of creating the association from the Profile Management module. To configure fund associations for DonorCentral:
- In the Profile Management module, click the Fund Associations tab.
- Click New on the far left-hand side of the toolbar.
- A line in the Associations list appears for editing.
- Click the Fund ID drop-down list and select the Fund that you want the Donor to have access to via DonorCentral.
- Once you select a Fund, the Fund Name appears in the Name field.
- Click the Rep Type drop-down list and select the appropriate code to associate the Profile with the Fund.
- Once you select a code, a text description of the code appears in the Description field.
- Click in the DC field and select a value 0-3. This will determine
- 0-No DC, Suggest Grants
- 1-Advisor Administrator
- 2-Advisor Reviewer
- 3-Advisor Limited
What do the values in the DC column on the Fund Associations tab mean?
When you select a value in the DC column, the text for that field will appear in the DonorCentral Access column.

9. Click Save.

Can I manually upload data to DonorCentral?

Note: You can check to verify if a user is in DonorCentral by going to Control Panel\Site Administration\Users.

Either remove the fund association completely from the profile or change the access level on the fund association to 0.
Be sure to do a full upload to DonorCentral or you can wait until the nightly automatic upload occurs. If you have Real Time Sync enabled, and the RTS_Fund_Advisors feature turned on, then that change will get uploaded to DonorCentral immediately.
