How do I see who is logged into FIMS in an on-premise environment?
Answer:
There are two means of determining who is connected to FIMS if you are on-premise:
- Within FIMS, from the menu click - Tools > System Utilities > System Reports > Users Connected Listing
- Go to the FIMS database server and run the Show Live Users shortcut to see the users logged into FIMS.
Special User Types:
- WDOG User - The watchdog process improves performance by cleaning up after improperly terminated processes. It releases locks, backs out any live transactions, and releases shared-memory locks. The Progress Watchdog runs all the time and does not use any of your FIMS licenses.
- DBAgent User – The DBAgent monitors the Progress databases and does not take up a FIMS license
