Article summary

I have documents created outside of FIMS, how can I upload those to DonorCentral?

Answer:

You can upload external documents using the drag and drop feature. Here is the documentation on that feature below:
Drag and Drop Gift and Grant Documents into the Document Module

For example, if you have a PDF file that you would like to add to a gift or a grant, open the gift module or grant module, find the gift or grant and then drag the file to the folder icon. Donot open the gift and or grant file, but rather drag file to the icon and you will see a window appear to add the file to create the document and upload to DonorCentral.

Dragging the file to the gift or grant folder will add the document to the document manager and will copy that file into the gift/grant specific folder. Additionally, dragging the file to the gift or grant folder will add the file to the documents module as a link between that gift/grant and the file.

After the file is in document manager, you can upload it to DonorCentral from there.
Documents Module

Note that these documents would be on the fund level meaning that anyone who ask access to see that fund information in DonorCentral would be able to see that gift or grant and the associated attachment.
