Article summary

When creating grants for designated funds, we needed to start the process again due to error.  These grants needed to be deleted, so we manually deleted them, and now we are unable to run them again.

Answer:
To Resolve:
  • These grants will pull from the Fund Distribution Records.  If you are unable to pull these from File Maintenance > Recurring Grants from Fund Distributions, then you will need to focus on the Fund Distribution Record.
  • Look at the Fund Distributions Records that are associated with these grants to see if they were deleted. If these are deleted, then you will either need to recreate the Fund Distribution Records or see if the first grants are still showing on this record. If you open up the Fund record, and on the Distributions tab, if this is missing, then it would need to be recreated.
  • Another solution is to go into each designated fund, each distribution, and change the "action date" back to a previous date.  The action date is the "switch" that prevents the grants from being written twice - the action date automatically advances a year when recurring grants are run.
