I would like to exclude pledge receivables from the fund balance, how can I do that?
Answer:
If you do not want to include pledge receivables in your fund balance then you will need to not post those transactions to GL. If you have the pledge module you can turn off the posting feature from Pledges to GL so that you can still use all of the features of the pledge module but not have any impact on your general ledger. Then when you post the payment of one of those pledges the revenue would then be recognized in the gift record.
The setting to not post to Pledges to GL is located in Tools\System Utilities\System Initial Setup\Posting, G/L System Controls section.
Be sure to only un-check the checkbox for Post Pledges to G/L:
