How to Find the Suggestion ID for a Suggestion in DonorCentral

I need to find the Suggestion ID for a Suggestion in DonorCentral for troubleshooting purposes, how can I do that?

 

Answer:
1. Go to DonorCentral and log in as a fund advisor or view as advisor
2. Find the grant or suggestion in question
3. Click on the button on the left side of the suggestion with the three dots
4. Select View Details
5. After the details window opens for the suggestion, on the top of the browser see at the end of the DonorCentral NXT URL, suggestionid=
6. The number that follows is the suggestion id

Notes:
Support will need the following information for issues with suggestions:
  • Suggestion Ids from DonorCentral when viewing the suggestion. The suggestion ID will looks like this on the address bar. This is just an example, the id from your suggestion will be different:

    • /grant/?suggestionId=87d54e58-0088-45b9-aa6f-3b63b31a4bc5 

  • Grant Numbers in DonorCentral if present 

  • Suggestion Ids within FIMS 

    • Can be seen in Suggestion Import Window 

      • May have to change View to show all suggestions 

      • Grant number if filled in.  

      • If it shows ? then it means it was denied. 

      • 0 means no application created. 

    • Application and Application History >> Application tab >> Other button.  

      • It's the Ext-Grant-ID field when External-Source is DC.
