How to globally rebuild profile salutations

You may have many profiles whose salutations require updates. The process of manually opening each record and making the changes can be tedious so you may want to consider using the Rebuild Salutations feature within FIMS.

The Rebuild Salutation process will rebuild every salutation selected for every profile record in the database. You will have the option of rebuilding a single type of salutation or any combination of types. You can also select an option to build salutations only for the salutation lines that are blank. This selection is very helpful when you have just "turned on" a new salutation line. Also, if you have changed the format for an already existing type, this process will rebuild the salutations using the new format.

Before running this process you should double check the salutation settings shown on the Mailing Setup tab after navigating to Tools\System Utilities\System Initial Setup from the FIMS menubar.

To initiate this process follow these steps:

Go to Tools > System Utilities > Admin Utilities > Profile Utilities > Rebuild Salutations.
An information window will appear with the same information as presented above. Once you have read through and understand the functionality of this utility, click Close.
Next the selections window will appear. It will look like the image below:

4. You can select one or a combination of options in this window then click OK.

5. The process will automatically run after clicking OK in step 4. The processing window will disappear once complete.
