We would like to be able to calculate spending policy amounts on funds based on the average quarterly balance method. There are some balances for funds that are not in FIMS because we were using a different software at that time. We also need historical market values from back to prior to using FIMS to calculate spending policies based quarterly balance.
How can we import this information into FIMS?
Answer:
Please see the attached documentation on how to import historical fund balances and market values.
Note, as stated in the document, once you import the balances, End of Year process should not be run for those years or the balances in FIMS will not be correct.
You should also copy live to test and then do this process in your demo database first to be sure all data looks correct.
