How can I save Crystal Fund Statements to Fund Folders?
Answer:
In order to save Crystal Fund Statements to Fund folders, you can run the utility that saves Crystal Fund Statements to fund folders from Run Procedure or you can add the utility to the Custom Menu.
Prerequisites:
You must have the Fund Explore Dir directory and the Crystal system options set in System Options > Funds:
A. Run procedure for saving Crystal Fund Statements to Fund folders
1. Go to Tools > System Utilities > Run Procedure
2. Navigate to found\fims\ODBC\Crystal, in the Crystal folder select the w-statex.w procedure
Note: Be very careful what procedure you are selecting in this window. Only run a procedure if you know exactly what it is and what it does.
3. You will see a window appear that displays the name of your Crystal Fund statement along with selections to make. Click OK after making selections:
The Crystal report and default values displayed here come from the Fund System options.
B. Add the utility that saves Crystal Fund Statements to fund folders to the Custom Menu rather than running procedure:
1. Select Tools\System Utilities\Admin Utilities\Dynamic Menu Maintenance.
2. Scroll down to find the Custom parent and then scroll to last item under Custom.
3. Note the Order number of the last item. In this example, the Order number of the last item under Custom is 60:
3. Copy the last custom item in the list by clicking the copy button which is the third button over from the top left of the Dynamic Menu Maintenance window.
4. In the new item window that opens, change the order number to the next number after the last item under Custom. In this example, that would be 61 due to the Order number of the last existing item under Custom having been 60.
5. In the Label field type in the name of the menu item. For example, Crystal Statements to fund folders.
6. In the Action field, type odbc\crystal\w-statex.w
7. Click the Save button on the top left
8. Click Close
9. Click Yes on this message:
10. Now you will see the Crystal Fund Statement export utility that saves statements to fund folders on the custom menu which you can click and run:
