How to upgrade to the new Windows App to access FIMS on Azure

There is a new Windows App that resolves many issues with using FIMS on Azure. To install the new Windows App, do the following:

For Microsoft Windows devices and computers:

1. Go to Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features on your computer

2. Un-install the Remote Desktop application

3. Install the new Windows App using these instructions:

Note for non-Windows systems:

Per the Microsoft article referenced in the install instructions in step #3 above, while you can use the new Windows app for non-Windows Systems and it may work, Microsoft does not support using the new Windows app so if you have a non-Windows system, you will most likely still need to use the current remote desktop app:
