I changed the default values for a FieldMaker field. Is there a way to change the existing records or do I have to do it manually?

Thank you for your feedback
After we created our fields we realized the default value was poorly chosen. We have changed the field to now fill in the correct new default for new records, but all the existing records show the old one. How do we fix this?
Answer:
In situations like this, it is best to copy your live database into your test or demo database so you can test the fix over there first.
- Once the copy has finished, log into the Test database
- Navigate to Tools > System Utilities > Admin Utilities > Global Change
- In the File to Change box enter the FieldMaker table: i.e. fm_profile, fm_fund, fm_gift, etc)
- In the Field to Change choose the one with the problem
- In the Old Value enter the old default value and in the New Value enter in the correct default
- No filtering is necessary so the bottom section is not touched.
- Click Replace
- Examine the records.
