    Invalid Donor ID Code, please retry - When entering Gifts

    Article summary

    When entering in a new Gift Record within the Gifts module the following error may appear after selecting the ID Code:
    Invalid Donor ID Code, please retry.

    Answer:
    This error message appears when the profile chosen as the ID Code does not have a corresponding Donor Profile as well. To correct complete the following steps:
    1. Navigate to the Profiles module
    2. Open this particular profile record
    3. Go to the Donor Tab
    4. Click on the New button (the white piece of paper at the top left)
    5. Click Save
    You should no longer receive the error when entering gifts for this Profile/Donor ID Code.
