Maintaining Standard Scholarship Codes

There are three standard Scholarship code tables that you can maintain.

  • User Defined: This is the code table that is used to populate the actual fields that correspond with the text labels you define in Setting Scholarship Preferences. There are eight possible code fields on the Student record and two possible code fields on the Application record.

NOTE: The user-defined fields are not limited to the codes you add to this code table. You can also enter text directly into most of the fields.

NOTE: Refer to the Students Tab and the Application Tab to see an example of how these codes are used.

  • Academic Year: This is the code table that is used to populate the GPA For Year and Academic Year fields on the Student record.
  • Subject Area: This is the code table that is used to populate the Subject Area field on the Student record.

The process for maintaining these codes is the same as other codes in FIMS. Refer to Maintaining FIMS Codes in the Introduction for more information on configuring code tables.

NOTE: You can access other Scholarship-related codes via Grant Code Maintenance. Refer to Maintaining Standard Grantee and Grant Codes in the Grantee and Grant Management module for more information.
