Manually Adjust Spending Policy Amounts

The Manually Adjust Spending Policy Codes utility allows you manually enter or edit the Cash Requirement value. You can also use this utility to adjust the Cash Requirement value for specific Funds after you either perform Spending Policy Calculations or use the Spending Policy Import.

Note: When you use the Spending Policy Calculation to determine the Cash Requirement value, it is automatically entered in two places: the Fund record (displays only the last edit) and the Fund Summary History record (an annual record that keeps the last calculation or adjustment done for a specified year to use as the basis for reports and Automatic Entries in General Ledger). Manually adjusting changes the value in both records.

1. From anywhere in FIMS, select View > Spending Policy > Manually Adjust SP Amounts.

Adjust SP Amounts Window

2. Click the arrow in the Year field and select the appropriate fiscal year.

3. Click New and enter the Fund ID for the desired Fund.

Note: If you are editing an existing calculation, select the desired Fund from the list.

4. Enter the Cash Requirement amount for the Fund.

5. (Optional) Enter any Admin Fee amount for the Fund.

6. Click the Save button on the toolbar.
