Pledge Management
The Pledge Management module works with the Donor and Gift Management module to form an integrated Development and Fundraising system. You can use Pledge Management to record Pledges, manage acknowledgements and reminders, and track contributions that fulfill Pledges. This module also allows you to configure custom installment plans and distribute Pledges to multiple Funds.
Because the Pledge Receivable and Pledge Income accounts are identified in the Fund Class record, the proper G/L accounts to debit and credit will default into any Pledge installments. When you select a Donor ID Code during the Gift entry process in the Donor and Gift Management module, you will be notified of any outstanding Pledges for that Donor and given the opportunity to select the Pledge installment(s) that will be fulfilled by the Gift. When you select the Pledge that you want to enter a Gift for, FIMS automatically pulls coding from the Pledge record. When the Gift is posted, you can also automatically create a matching Pledge (if needed).
