Posting Journal Entries Times Out when posting Large Amounts of Entries
When posting a large amount of journal entries, the process closes, there is no error, but the posting process stops and the GL module closes.
Answer:
- If you are using the version of FIMS hosted by NPact, please create a support case.
- If you are using FIMS on-premises:
Go to NPO\found\tempfiles and find the temp file that corresponds to the date and time that the issue occurred. If a journal posting suddenly stops, the report text temp file will still be in the tempfiles folder. This report will show any errors that caused the posting to fail.
Open the temp file in Notepad and read the contents to be sure that it pertains to the journal posting process that was running. Sroll down to the end of the file and what if any messages occur.
