Process Grant Applications

FIMS records Grants first as Grant Applications, even if they are made under circumstances that require minimal review (for example, an agency endowment). Once you finish entering your Applications, you should run an error-free Edit report and post the Application so they will be available for Grant payment.

In addition to these required steps, FIMS offers the following processes:

Process

Description

Application Quick Approval and Denial

Allows you to quickly enter Grant decisions for a large number of Applications.

Refer to Running Application Quick Approval and Denial for more information.

Export Application Data

Creates a data file you can merge into a word processing document for communication with Grantees or use to create reports for the board or a committee (for example, a Grant Summary Sheet).

Refer to Exporting Grant Application Data to Create Letters and Reports for more information.
