Recurring recommendations (Admin)

Tip: In order to access Recurring Recommendations in Control Panel, the user must have the staff role of Staff Reviewer or DonorCentral Adminstrator.

Maintaining Staff Codes

From Control panel, administrators can select Site administration and Recurring recommendations to view and manage recurring recommendations.

A grid shows the total number of recurring recommendations and information about each recommendation:

  • Ref number
  • Grantee
  • Advisor
  • Amount
  • Start date
  • End date
  • Frequency
  • Next recurrence
  • Status
  • Past recurrences
  • Total Past recurrences
  • Future recurrences
  • Total future recurrences
  • Fund

Find a recommendation

To search the recommendations, enter search criteria in Find in this list and then select Search.

Export recommendations

To export the information to a .csv file (for use in Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet applications), select Export. Your internet browser settings determine where the file is downloaded.

View details

1. Select the triple-dot icon  beside a recommendation and then select View details to open the recommendation in full-screen view, OR select the recommendation's reference number to open a side panel view without leaving the page.

Note: If you are viewing as an advisor, you won't be able to see the grant details if the grant has a different advisor. You will be prompted to remove advisor view to continue.

2. From here you can review details, Stop a recurring recommendation, or Change it. Navigate back in your browser or select X in the top banner when you are finished.

Change recurrence

1. Select Change from the recommendation's triple-dot menu .

Note: If you are viewing as an advisor, you won't be able to change the recurrence if the recommendation has a different advisor. You'll be prompted to remove advisor view to continue.

2. In Change recurring recommendation? select Yes.

  • When you opt to change a recurring recommendation, all future recurrences are canceled, and you'll start a new recommendation where you'll make your changes. 

3. In the Recommendation form, modify the Amount, Frequency, Start Date, or End Date as needed.

4. Select Save.

Stop a recurring recommendation

You can stop all future recurrences of an active recurring recommendation.

1. Select Stop from the recommendation's triple-dot menu .

Note: If you are viewing as an advisor, you won't be able to stop the recurrence if the recommendation has a different advisor. You'll be prompted to remove advisor view to continue.

  • When you stop a recurring recommendation, all future recurrences are canceled.

2. In the confirmation message, select Yes to confirm.

Reopen a recurrence

1. Select Filter. Under Status, select Closed, then Apply filters.

2. Select Re-open from a recommendation's triple-dot menu .

Note: If you are viewing as an advisor, you won't be able to reopen the recurrence if the recommendation has a different advisor. You'll be prompted to remove advisor view to continue.

  • When you opt to reopen a recurring recommendation, a new recurring recommendation is created for the same fund, amount, and frequency.

3. In the confirmation message, select Yes to open the recommendation form.

4. Optionally, modify any of the details for the recommendation.

5. Select Submit.

Filter content

You can filter the information displayed on the Recurring recommendations tab.

1. Select Filters.

2. Select a category — Status, Fund, Advisor, Grantee, Dates, or Recurrences — then select the criteria on which to base your filter.

  • Choose Select all to select all the criteria in a category or choose Clear all to remove all filters for a category.

3. If desired, choose additional categories to further filter the data.

4. After you select the criteria to include, select Apply filters.

  • A summary of the applied filters displays above the grid.

5. To remove a single filter, select X from the summary of applied filters on the list.

  • To remove the filters and include all data for your recurring recommendations, select Filters, and then Clear all filters.

Sort content

Select a column heading to sort by that category in ascending or descending alphabetical order.

Choose columns to show

1. Select Columns , then select columns to display and clear columns to hide.

2. Select Apply changes.

Reorder columns

To rearrange columns of information, select a column header and drag it to the desired location.

View more

To move to another page in the list, select Previous or Next , or select a specific page number.
