Rerun Reports from the FIMS Viewer or the Graphical Viewer

Rerun many standard FIMS reports directly from the FIMS Viewer. Select Rerun Report on the FIMS Viewer menu bar.

If the standard report offers a Graphical Viewer option, the option to re-run the report is also available. This eliminates the need to return to the Reports menu when you want to rerun a report.

You can also use this option to run a report, check that the output is what you need, and then rerun to set defaults.

Note: This option is not available for exports.

When you rerun a report, you can also keep the original report open. This allows you to switch between two or more similar reports on your screen for side-by-side comparison, without actually printing them. For example, you could run several versions of the same report, based on different years or periods, to compare performance over time. Your selections are printed at the bottom of each report.

Tip: Adding a subtitle to each of your reports will help you to tell them apart at a glance.

Tip: For reports that offer a Spreadsheet export option on the Send To tab, run the report to the FIMS Viewer first to determine that the information is correct. After verifying, rerun the report using the Spreadsheet export option to export the data. If the report offers a Graphical Viewer option, you may be better served sending the report there, because you can export the data to Microsoft Excel from the Graphical Viewer itself.
