Run Trends and Analysis Reports
Trends and Analysis reports summarize your FIMS data. Many of these reports are totals-only reports that provide a sum value (for example, Gift or Grant amounts) for a given category (for example, Donor Class or Grant Program Area). These reports analyze the data in one dimension.
Note: Some Trends and Analysis reports analyze data in two dimensions, but this procedure covers standard Trends and Analysis reports. See Full Development Status Report and Full Grant Status Report to see examples of reports with more than one dimension.
Run Trends and Analysis reports similarly to standard FIMS reports, but instead of the Sorting tab, there is an Analysis tab, where you select the data that you want to analyze.
1. On the FIMS Report Selections window, click the Analysis tab.
2. In the left-hand pane, select the field that you want to use to analyze your data and then click Add.
Note: You can only select one analysis field for each report.
3. Configure the information on the remaining tabs as you would for any standard FIMS report and then click Run Report.
Tip: See Running Standard FIMS Reports for more information.
