Setting Default Export File Locations
If you set up a default path and filename for your exported data files, you will not have to manually enter this information each time you run an export.
From anywhere in FIMS, select Tools > System Utilities > System Initial Setup. The System Initial Setup window opens.
- Click the Word Processing tab.

- In the Output to File Path field, enter the location on your computer (or server) where you want to save your data files.
- Enter the desired file name and extension (for example, Profile.txt for your Profile File) in each of the appropriate File fields.
NOTE: Refer to Using FIMS Data with Microsoft Office for more information on the file extension you should use for your data files.
- Click OK.
