Setting the Accounting Method

1. From anywhere in FIMS, select Tools > System Utilities > System Initial Setup. The System Initial Setup window opens.
2. Click the Posting tab.
   
   Posting Tab (Accounting Methods Section)
   
3. In the Accounting Methods section, do one of the following:

• If you are using the Accrual method, select the Accrual Method of Accounting checkbox.
• If you are using the Cash method, clear the Accrual Method of Accounting checkbox.

4. Click OK.
