Tax Status Organization Lookup

The Tax Status Organization Lookup feature is located in the Grants module on the shortcut toolbar on top.

Click the icon to open the Tax Status Lookup form.

No fields are required. However, it is advised to enter some filters in order to narrow the search results. Only the first 100 search results display.

The search results list displays the following information:

• Matching Organization Name

• Tax ID

• Tax Status

• NTEE Code

• Possible in FIMS – this column tells you if the organization is possibly already in your database

• Address

Edit Search

If your initial search does not return the organization you are searching for or too many matches, you can click the Edit Search button in the upper right corner to return to the Tax Status Lookup form and modify your search criteria.

Details

To view the details of a specific organization on the results list, click on the organization and then click the Details button.

The Organization Details popup lists all the fields which will be populated to FIMS if you decide to create a new grantee.

Click OK to close the popup window.
