About Tax Status Lookup and Verify

Tax Status Lookup and Verify in the Grants module searches the tax status of an organization or verifies the tax status of a Profile in FIMS using NPact’s Tax Exempt Organization Database. After verifying the tax status, you can update FIMS with current tax status information.

You can also use Tax Status Lookup to locate tax exempt organizations that are not currently in your FIMS database.

About NPact’s Tax Exempt Organization Database

NPact’s Tax Exempt Organization Database contains the most current information on all tax-exempt organizations. NPact frequently updates this database with information from the IRS Exempt Organizations Master Listing and the Canada Revenue Agency’s registered charities database.

This feature is available for US and Canadian organizations that have a Tax ID or Canadian Registration Number in their Profile information. It checks the IRS or Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) data and returns all tax / charitable related information.
