Answer:
This issue was addressed for the customer who reported it.
The issue was caused by the following:
The issue was caused by the following:
- Warnings displayed in FIMS were ignored by users when originally posting the FACTS pools in question
- If another user is in FACTS and is posting when you are posting, you will receive a warning. You should stop posting immediately and not proceed until the other user is out of the FACTS module.
- While FIMS does allow more than one user to post FACTS at the same time, we do not recommend doing that.
- The automatic journal entries created by FACTS were edited\deleted\modified prior to posting
- FACTS automatically creates journal entries to post. If for example a user were to go to the GL module and edit those journal entries that were automatically created before posting, then upon attempting to un-post FACTS, the un-post routine would not be able to determine which journal entries would need to be unposted since the originals were altered and thus would error out and not be able to complete.
- It is recommended to not edit\change or add to the automatic journal entries that FACTS creates.
Steps To Duplicate
- Go to File Maintenance\FACTS\FACTS Unpost
- Choose the pool that needs to be unposted
- Choose the correct cycle
- See errors occur
