When creating an interfund transfer the following message occurs:
'The Interfund Gift is Missing General Ledger Accounts. The interfund transfer created cannot be posted at this time. Add general ledger accounts on the General Ledger tab and use the Interfund Edit/Post program on the Processes tab.'
Answer:
This message occurs because GL accounts are missing on the General Ledger tab of the interfund due to the fund class to which the fund on the gift is assigned not having interfund GL accounts configured.
It can also happen if the GL account defined for gift or cash is not assigned to the fund.
You can click OK on the message and the Interfund will still get created, you will just need to fix the GL accounts.
To resolve do the following:
1. Go to the interfund record that you just created to the GL tab, note how there is no description in this example for the 1st GL account like there is for the 2nd. This means that the GL account in question that is listed is not assigned to the fund:

2. Select the correct GL account for the gift on the Interfund tab
3. If the GL account you need to use is not added to fund, you will need to go to the GL module to the fund and add the GL account there for the fund.
4. Then go back to the interfund gift and select the correct GL account that you just added to the fund in the GL module.

5. Check fund code maintenance and be sure fund class has GL accounts added to it:
- Go to File maintenance\funds\fund code maintenance\fund class
- Find the fund class for the fund on the gift in question that that fund belongs to (You can go to the fund module, look up the fund and see what class it belongs to)
- Click and open the fund class
- Look for all of the Interfund categories
- Add the correct GL accounts there
- Now, when you create an interfund, those GL accounts will automatically get added to the interfund gift IF the GL accounts are assigned to the fund.
