One slight difference from the article above is that our installation of Progress for FIMS uses a different path for the key:
On the FIMS database server the path would be the absolute path where Progress is installed. This would also be the case for terminal servers or remote desktop servers that have their own Progress installation.
See the following two sections below that apply to different types of machines.
I. Database server or terminal server\remote desktop servers that have their own Progress installation.
In this example below, that path is C for this database server that is a 64 bit machine. Your database server may have Progress installed on another drive.

If this is a workstation, the path would typically be n:\dlc\bin\pgoe27.dll. Sometimes for some operating systems you have to use the UNC path instead of N, \\servername\npo\dlc\bin\pgoe27.dll.
