I am trying to change the payment plan dates for a grant or scholarship, but the new date column will not appear so that I can enter in the new dates, how do I fix that?

Answer:
You cannot change payment dates on a payment that was already made on a grant or scholarship.
You can change payment dates for payment lines on a grant where there are multiple payments and some payments are not paid. For the payment lines that are not paid, you can change the payment dates for those un-paid payment lines.

Example I-Grant with one payment line

In the first screenshot below is an example of a grant with a single payment on the payment plan tab and that payment was already made. Note that the new date column is not visible when running the payment date adjustment process.

If you want the payment date to be different on a posted payment line, then you will need to void the payments made for that payment line on the scholarship or grant in the AP module, then go to the grant or scholarship module and do a payment date adjustment which you can then do since the payment was voided.

Example II- Grant with multiple payment lines

For the payment lines that are not paid on a grant or scholarship, you can change the payment dates for those un-paid payment lines.

Here is an example of a grant with multiple payments, one of the payments was made one was not: 

Here we can see that Line 01 was already paid, note the Amt Paid column. We can further see that Line 02 has not been paid. Since Line 02 was not paid, we can change the payment date: 

After clicking Process adjustment, you will see this screen:
