Upload Portion of DonorCentral Task not Completing
When either the scheduled DonorCentral task or the one manually run from FIMS completes, only the data export portion completes but the data never uploads to DonorCentral even though new data is extracted. I look in npo\found\eAdvisor\History and I see new data that was extracted but that new data never was uploaded into DonorCentral and I see that in npo\found\eAdvisor\FTP there is no log from the time that the scheduled task or manual upload ran. I also notice that when I manually upload data to DonorCentral that the command window portion of the process to upload the extracted FIMS data to DonorCentral never starts. Can I manually upload data to DonorCentral?
Answer:
This issue can be caused by two things:
Anti-virus software and\or Windows Defender having deleted and\or blocked the 'Blackbaud.DFM.Integration.DataTransfer.exe' file
· In npo\found\eAdvisor\FTP you should see a file called 'Blackbaud.DFM.Integration.DataTransfer.exe'. This is the executable that uploads your FIMS data to your DonorCentral site. Sometimes anti-virus software and\or Windows Defender can delete this file or block it from running.
· One symptom of this issue is if you click directly on the executable to run it and nothing happens or it blinks quickly and closes then the file could be blocked.
· If you are missing this file, contact Blackbaud support and we can get you a replacement.
· You will need to add an exception to your anti-virus and Windows Defender for the 'Blackbaud.DFM.Integration.DataTransfer.exe' file shown below:
2. If a user changed system settings in Tools\System Utilities\Donor Central\Setup DonorCentral Upload. System settings should not be changed. Please contact support for assistanced in getting DC settings to be configured correctly.
