Use Word’s Picture Field Switches
Picture field switches allow you to change the way numbers and dates are displayed in your Word documents. For example, if your dates are formatted as 01/01/2008, and you want them to be formatted as January 1, 2008, you can use a date picture field switch to change the format. You can also use a numeric picture field switch to change a negative sign to a parenthesis, or vice versa.
Note: Refer to Microsoft Word’s online help system for more information about all of the available field switches.
